105-111 West 57th Street is a high-end 1,350 ft. tall residential development project by JDS-PMG that will rise to 87 stories with flagship retail and amenities at the base, and single floor luxurious apartments throughout.
Working with SHoP from the earliest concepts, Longman Lindsey provided input concerning Steinway Hall, cost design, façade performance, mechanical systems design, elevator performance, and amenity design. We advised on demising constructions corresponding with this quality of residence, mitigating sound transmission from neighboring apartments and potentially intrusive street traffic noise. Acoustical lining, vibration isolation, and all treatments necessary for elevator, HVAC, generator, pumps and piping were identified to prevent noise and/or vibration transmission
