Ericsson, the global communications provider, underwent a major renovation of their office space to ensure compliance with Ericsson acoustic standards. We were brought on board to conduct the necessary testing and analysis to generate acoustic requirements for the renovation.
We provided the design team with acoustical recommendations for office and conference room noise levels, as well as partitions, doors, and ceiling materials to reduce sound transmission and maintain voice privacy. Ericsson has strict standards for maximum allowable noise levels due to HVAC operation, which required our careful analysis to confirm compliance. We also provided guidance on sound absorptive treatments throughout the space, as well as hardware details to ensure consistent acoustic performance.
