The commercial leasing brokerage Colliers International moved to their new NYC offices at 666 Fifth Avenue, sized at 570,000 SF. Our team conducted survey work at the new office space to identify any acoustical issues requiring attention.
During our review of plans for the new offices, we detailed acoustical solutions for items such as where partitions between offices intersect with the building façade. We also worked with the design team and Colliers to understand the speech privacy to be expected with the sliding glass doors scheduled for offices, as well as the glass partitions at the conference room’s front walls. Mechanical systems included supplemental AC units for after-hours use, which required careful location and sound attenuation to minimize potential intrusive noise transmission. Our recommendations provided Colliers with a ‘quiet enjoyment’ environment based on good practices for first class offices.
