Convene’s newest amenity space at 151 West 42nd Street includes a reimagined Frank Gehry Cafeteria, amidst a total 45,600 SF amenity space. The space seamlessly integrates the Durst Organization’s commitment to sustainability, with an abundance of plants surrounding The Green.
Our work included evaluation of sound separation between meeting spaces, both fixed partitions and acoustic performance at operable partitions. We assessed how surface finishes would contribute to speech intelligibility as well as control reverberant sound during bustling social events. We were particularly enthusiastic about the reinvention of the cafeteria, having worked on the original design of the space some 20+ years ago.
Longman Lindsey is continuing our relationship with Convene, which includes West 46th Street, One World Commons, and this incredible space that truly bridges residential and workplace environments.
